📄 Sankofa Escapes – Booking Terms & Refund Policy
Tour Name: The Sankofa Experience: Ghana 2026
Tour Dates: July 23 – August 3, 2026
Total Price per Person: $4,999 USD
Deposit Due at Booking: $1,500 USD (30%) – nonrefundable
Remaining Balance: $3,499 USD – paid in 9 monthly installments
1. 📌 Payment Policy
• Deposit: A nonrefundable deposit of $1,500 USD is required to reserve your spot.
• Installment Plan: The remaining $3,499 USD will be paid via 9 monthly installments of approximately $389, starting October 1, 2025, and ending June 1, 2026.
• All payments are processed electronically via our authorized payment platform
• Payments must be completed by June 1, 2026 in order to participate in the trip.
2. 🔐 Refund & Cancellation Policy
• All payments (including deposit and monthly installments) are nonrefundable under any circumstances.
• This is because we use your funds to make advance reservations for flights, hotels, transportation, cultural experiences, and vendors on your behalf.
• We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with “Cancel For Any Reason” coverage to protect your investment.
3. 🔄 Transfer Policy
• If you are unable to attend, your trip may be transferred to another eligible traveler (friend/family member) with written approval from Sankofa Escapes by no later than May 15, 2026.
4. ⚠️ Missed Payments & Late Fees
• Installment payments are due monthly on the 1st of each month.
If two payments are missed, Sankofa Escapes reserves the right to cancel your booking without refund.
5. 🧾 Travel Insurance (Highly Recommended)
All travelers are encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes:
• Trip cancellation & interruption
• Medical coverage
• Lost/delayed baggage
• “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) protection

6. 📋 Additional Booking Terms
• A valid passport is required for all travelers (must not expire before Feb 2027).
• You are responsible for providing accurate information and travel documents in a timely manner.
• The itinerary is subject to minor adjustments based on availability, weather, or group needs.
• You agree to abide by all group travel rules, respect local customs, and participate in a spirit of unity.
