4. Do I need a visa to travel to Ghana?

Yes — but you don’t have to worry about it. We handle your Ghana visa from start to finish. After registration, we’ll request a few documents from you and take care of the entire process on your behalf.

5. Do I need vaccinations or travel insurance?

Ghana requires proof of Yellow Fever vaccination for entry.

We also strongly recommend travel insurance, and we’ll refer you to a trusted provider to help you secure the best plan for your trip.

6. Is this a physically demanding trip?

Not at all. Our itineraries are thoughtfully designed with a balance of movement and rest. Some light walking is included, but all activities are optional, and we’ll accommodate your pace and comfort level.

7. I’m traveling solo — can I still join?

Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo and leave with lifelong friends. We’ll pair you with a same-gender roommate unless you request a private room upgrade.

8. How do I book and pay for a trip?

Secure your spot with a 30% non-refundable deposit, and pay the remaining balance through easy monthly installments before departure.

9. What is the group size?

Each Sankofa Escapes journey is limited to just 10 travelers.

This allows for a more intimate, personalized, and connected experience — where everyone feels seen, supported, and part of the family.

10. Can Sankofa Escapes plan a private trip for our group?

Yes! We curate private group trips for families, couples, schools, fraternities/sororities, churches, and teams. Reach out and we’ll customize the experience for you.
